Lo8 - Heads up with 2 pair, but low hits on turn
I am holding AKT2 on the button in a 7 handed limit o8 game. 2 players limp, I call, little blind folds, big blind checks. 4 players, no pre-flop raise. Flop is K23 rainbow, 3 players check to me, I bet my top and bottom 2 pair. Big blind folds, both limpers call.
Turn is 7 ( still rainbow ). 1st limper bets, 2nd limper folds. I’m heads up. Do I call down or fold? I have no notes on this guy. Also - does the answer change if I had made the pot larger by raising preflop? |

Your two pair might win improve or win unimproved. And you could end up with a live ace for a low split. Hard to fault you betting position after this flop, but the problem with doing that, if you are unsuccessful at winning the pot on the second betting round, is you tend to get stuck in the hand - as you did here. I'm not sure what the solution is. I'd probably fold kings over deuces if anybody bet, but I might make the same move as you if nobody bet (as here). [ QUOTE ] Also - does the answer change if I had made the pot larger by raising preflop? [/ QUOTE ]No. I'd be even more inclined to call in that case, even more stuck. Buzz |
