You need a program called 'sharepod'. You can copy the songs you want to your PC- then just put them on the ipod you want.
PMd you the link

Are the songs still on iTunes? If so, then set up itunes to just synch your podcasts and manually put on the songs from iTunes by dragging and dropping from itunes onto your new iPod. If you are saying you want to take the MP3's off your old ipod, then yes you need a program.

I personally like iPodRip. Its not free, but you can use it for free 10 times before you have to buy it, and you should only need to use it once to get all your music off.

you can also create a new window user. This new user will have his own itunes list. so you can log on this user for your 2GB and keep your main account for the 8Gb.
