i've been trying to mod the ps cards but the deck.a file is confusing me.. barnuthin told me it was some kind of mask or something but god only knows what that means..

The ".a" (alpha channel) files are a mask. Each ".a" file belongs to a file that contains the actual graphics.

deck.a.bmp controls what's going to end up being transparent in deck.bmp. The way stars rigged it is pretty bad. It's way more confusing than it should be.

Not only that but you have to edit so many files to successfully mod a deck. The fonts are by far the most annoying part.

All in all you'll need to edit 56 files to fully mod the "simple" deck. (7 sizes, 8 files for each size). If you keep the "simple" suits and fonts and just make the background bright it's not too bad but that won't help you get party style cards.

Couldn't get it working - [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
Tried a couple of times,first time it said "Not enough resources " Second time "Client Protocol Error ? " WTF
What folder are you putting it in?

deck.a.bmp is just a black rectangle.. how does that control what part of the cards are visible?
