If the barn were in the 15th row of the stands he might've hit it.

Somehow I'm not surprised by any of this. There's incredible pressure on Petrino to play Leftwich, and his suckiness was established prior. Just an ass-backwards franchise overall.

Too bad DJ got hurt in preseason.
Terrible decision to pull Harrington. Leftwich wasnt near ready to play. The defense didnt play too bad considering. Norwood is eventually going to break off a long TD. |

Re: ***Official 2007 Atlanta Falcons Thread***
Oh hell. Screwed up the time. Oh well, it will be open tommorrow.
I say Harrington. Only because Leftwich looked terrible when he came in for the Jags game. At this point it probably doesnt matter. If anything it's probably best to go ahead and lose out to insure the #1 pick of the draft. It's obvious that Petrino is going to dismantle this team and rebuild. Hopefully he knows what he's doing and isnt just another college coach in over his head like Spurrier and others. |

Harrington hasn't played terrible. Falcons just suck.

Re: ***Official 2007 Atlanta Falcons Thread***
In typical Falcons fashion after being as atrocious as possible for 8 weeks, an absolute must lose game comes around when we're feeling awful about ourselves and we go ahead and win it. Is it really difficult to understand why we have never had back to back winning seasons?
As far as I can tell this draft has McFadden (we need), Jake Long (we need), and Dorsey (we need), and than a drop off. And no, I really don't believe in drafting a QB (especially with this year's crop) with a top 10 pick because unless it is a can't miss Manning like prospect it is really a crap shoot. So it is basically top four or bust and it looks like we are heading toward bust as usual. Crap |
