What about forcing dogs to have gay sex and charging homosexuals to watch it?

Or maybe paying homosexuals to fight and the loser has to have sex with a dog?

Which is worse?

What an intersting question eh?. What a wise man I am.

Worse for whom? The audience, the participants, or society?

Ill just note that Phil/GoodCallYouWin/Carded/etc. are missing some understanding of evolution, and the chez and vhawk certainly go along with what is currently the most popular evolutionary beliefs about homosexuality.

Specifically, that, despite what someone who just hears about evolution might think, it can have positive fitness.

Agreed on GoodCall and Carded, disagree strongly on Phil. His disagreement on this isn't based on ignorance of misunderstanding of evolution, its just a legitimate disagreement. I only know enough about evolution to know that Phil is at least as well-versed as I am.

Ill retract the phil comment (I was sorta surprised since he is normally a v. solid poster, imo) I just skimmed.

I took him to mean that since homosexuals dont reproduce, that its necessarily not a positive fitness trait.

If that wasnt waht he meant, then I def. retract.

I think his main point was that, just because chez and I can come up with some half-baked explanation to make it seem like is beneficial, that doesn't make it so.

I disagree that its half-baked, but agree with his basic premise.

I agree its not half-baked but its not necessary for my point which holds even if the trait is not beneficial for the host species.
