Start - Run - dxdiag - Sound tab

Do you have Hardware Acceleration to the highest level?

I know I had problems like this with Pacific Poker awhile back and it was because this wasn't set to the highest setting.

I stopped playing at FT because of this. I have Dell Inspiron 9300 with SigmaTel C-Major Audio card. And yes, I have full acceleration on. Do you have the same card?

Start - Run - type dxdiag
Go to the Sound tab and make sure its on all the way.

I started a thread a while back on this same issue: here.

Still not solved for me. It really sucks and I don't think it'll be fixed on our end; it seems like a crappy software problem....

well i got a response from full tilt that said i needed to update the software for my driver/sound card.

I did this and so far its worked! so if your sound card software is outdated definetly worth giving this a shot.

Check the sound card manufacturer's website and download the latest driver. Direct X has problems with older drivers. Even if you bought your PC brand new only a few weeks ago, check anyhow because that new PC has been sitting around for a few months and the drivers just may be updated.

ONce you have updated drivers I bet all your sound problems will go away. I had the exact same problem when playing on FTP and when I updated my sound card driver, all problems were solved.

Thanks for the response.

I have updated the sound driver software too. I have a inspiron 9300 with Sigmatel Audio C (or something like that...).

I went to the dell support site regarding driver updates and updated to the latest version; however, the problem persists. The driver's release date was 6/20/2005 so perhaps if they ever release a more updated driver my sound will be fixed too.
