The only thing funny about the whole episode was Michael Bay.

dude, wtf

I just watched this episode again, just to make sure it really was that awesome.

And yea, it's abdolutely incredible.

To say this episode just rehashes old jokes is insane. This is one of their most original episodes ever. The only episode that is even somewhat similar to it, in terms of outrageousness, is woodland critter christmas, IMO.

Except for the part where Woodland Critter Christmas was absolutely amazing and this was meh. WTF is outrageous about this episode? Yay, they're back on the island of misfit mascots, only it's called something else. Yay, terrorists are at it again, cause killing Jesus was just warming up. Yay, Cartman won a ridiculous bet with Kyle, cause that's never happened.

Back on the islands of misfit mascots? I guess I missed the previous episode where they went to imaginationland, lol.

This is akin to saying woodland critter christmas was so cliche for south park... "Oh what a surprise, it's all a ploy for cartman to rip on Jewish Kyle. Oh wow, Santa is shooting stuff how crazy... I already saw him do this in Red Sleigh Down."

Clearly we have different views on this episode, but to argue this is all regurgitated material is incorrect, IMO. Maybe others can weigh in their opinions on that.

There is nothing new under the sun, it has all been done before. I think that's from Sherlock Holmes, but I probably messed it up.

By the 11th season, they've done pretty much everything. The genius comes in how they combine the same stuff in new ways.

Good post.

Every episode Cartman rips on Kyle for being Jewish, or Kenny for being poor. Remember when Kenny used to die in every episode? Did you think that was lame too because it had been done before?

Personally I prefer the episodes where they focus on things that happen with South Park instead of focusing on celebrities and movie spoofs. That usually means using old jokes and themes but those episodes tend to be the funniest for me. Still, this episode was pretty awesome and while not completely original it was far from played out.

the michael bay thing was hilarious, and the song was absolutely amazing. So was the sultan, and calling token blackie was hilarious.

I really liked this episode.

Me and my friend made a bet on who the first person will be out of the evil side of imagination land. He took the loch ness monster (wtf??) and I said it would be the singing guys evil twin brother. Obviously, if no one is right it is a push. I clearly have the edge right?

Unless he's a buddy of trey and matt I don't see how you don't have an edge.
