Yeah - I think if you're looking for a game system it's the DS for sure. If you want a palmtop computer, just get a palmtop computer. The PSP does a lot of things and none of them well.

PSP definitely.

And I've owned both.

I just find the PSP so versatile:-
Games
MP3's
Web browsing (incl following RSS feeds)
Photo albums
eMags
eBooks
Backup of important files from PC (2gig Memory stick)

[/ QUOTE ]

Football/Championship Manager.
GTA: Vice City Stories
Locoroco
Me and My Katamari

Can't think of any other titles I would buy.

I'm a (always been) Nintendo fan. Still, I got the PSP instead of DS.

I know myself well enough by now to realize that I'll play some games for a month, maybe two or even three, and then get bored of it. But what I do like, is the possibility to watch different series on my way to work and back. That's why I got the PSP. I can also hook it up to the internet if I feel the need to read my feeds during my stop at the local coffee shop that has WLAN.

When it comes to games, though, Nintendo have always beaten Sony (or Sega fwiw) hands down. That's of course only my 2c, ymmv.

I like the PSP because I run all my SNES/NES emulators on it as well as I downloaded a good number of PSP games. But I'm a geek.

Please don't listen to the Nintendo fanboys here who have likely never bothered to research the PSP.

If you seriously are thinking about purchasing either system, you have to do the research for yourself. You know what kind of games you like more than anyone else. Both have a lot of great games. Here:

I personally didn't like the DS because it's a bit gimmicky and a lot of the games end up getting old, or if they succeed in their "gimmick," it's too short to have any long-lasting satisfaction.

yes, i'm sure everyone who voted in this poll for the ds at an overwhelming 6:1 ratio is a fanboy who knows nothing about the psp. im sure a larger sample of gamers will see the psp in equal regards to the ds because after all, they both have great games.
