someone please tell me how is it that Sexton was able to call Gold's A2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hand? I mean, this is incredible as any suited A could have been played: A3, A4, etc. How does he do that?

Slight guessaments on the exact hand, but a great/fantastic initial read on his hand strength. Couldn't have been too sure if he called the bet anyway though. =/

Problem with Gold is that he's a total calling station

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, you're remarkably ignorant..Gold threw away middle/top pairs than anyone else at the table. And if you've even watched a little bit about his play, you should realise he throws away very strong hands all the time if faced with enough strength.

Greatest level ever.

You, sir, are a lame and pathetic, ignorant moron. Sorry, but the truth hurts. Just wow for you. Is that all you got? Level, level, level - how funny and clever. Sexton, Boston, Antonio are all much, much bigger calling stations than Gold.

Mike Sexton = God

He's proved it on the last TOC and now on PAD that he is that damn good.

lol. He's very good, but God? lol. If you've played with him and have spoken to his closest friends you should know he's one of the biggest calling stations in the modern game. And I thought you said CS's were bad? lolol.

this thread angers me on so many levels.

-and the continued bashing of Jamie Gold. god hes not that bad of a player.
Good Job Mike Sexton.

[/ QUOTE ]

And the most perplexing thing is that Gold is one of the nicest and most genuine guys in poker. It's unfathomable to me for so many to hate him. It's like I'm living in the twilight zone sometimes

Well, when people see someone being a total [censored] on TV all the time, they tend to think they're a total [censored] and hate them accordingly.

lol gold plays.. sooo [censored] bad it's amazing.

the bet/3bet with KQ, awful.
the c/r with KT on Q24 board against a giant TAG, awful.
the river raise of all in on a J8557 board (3spades) with T5 (like.. the 40th nuts), awful.

I am convinced this guy could not beat 25NL.
