Default I have an overpair :(

4 handed 3/6, game's been kinda crazy because of one guy, but he's sitting out at the moment. No real read on villain, in fact he may have just sat down, I'm not sure. But he's an unknown and it's saturday night so there's a decent chance he's a donk.

One thing to keep in mind, UTG was short, so if villain is decent he's realize my 3 bet meant I have a good hand, and he'd be less likely to iso with prospective hands. But of course that's assuming he's thinking which might not be true.

CO limps, button raises, SB folds, I 3 town J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the BB, only button calls.

Flop comes 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. pot's at 189, I bet 140. he calls.

Turn is 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I have 405 behind, pot's at 469, he covers. I check, he bets 193, I cr AI. Meh?

Yea, I c/f turn also. It sucks to concede the pot like that but the range of hands that beats you is ridiculous. If you bet again and get called/raised you basically auto-lose every time so all you are really chasing is whats already in the middle. There aren't really many hands that call the flop and fold the turn.

I'd probably play it the same while thinking "just check/fold you donkey there is no chance you are ahead here... oh what he bet, in that case, I'm allin!" and then curse at myself for throwing away a buyin.

I don't know if i'd really c/f here. The only hands i'm worried about are 55 and 88. I might c/c. He could still have TT, 99, A7.

I'd c/c and c/f the river unless he bet really small or I hit a J.

I thought this was a pretty standard 3-bet spot...I mean 4 handed against the button opening over a limper? Do you just not 3-bet in general, or what's your thinking?
