This sucks. I can't find a fold because even though I don't see button having the case 8's, there's no reason why not other than combinatorically unlikely, and he could still have 77 and SB be on 87 or something like that.

Still, with SB being an idiot and waking up on that particular turn, I think you're ahead of him pretty often, so maybe you can call in the hopes of button going nuts with an overpair.

I would call. I think SB being an idiot makes it likely he has some draw or worse two pair here a lot and button doesn't need to be over playing an overpair that often either. I think calling and calling the river UI with the plan of folding if the river action goes where you are facing two cold again.

i would definitely not fold this hand. sb's action is most consistent with a hand that improved by the 3. there are no possible straights, so the most likely hands are two pair hands 83/73/32. you beat or split with all of them.

button doesn't have to have a set to 3-bet that turn, either. 99-AA.

I would also checkraise the flop. Im curious as to why Kwaz didnt.
