Thats some pretty shady record keeping to make Finance's highest post count month ever look like a drop in posts.
Anyways, 103 posts/day in finance beating out its previous high of 83 and up from the 74 posts/day from last April. Hooray for Sporting Events on crushing last April's mark of 362 with a 497. That's pretty awesome that both of these happened despite 2 days worth of zero posts to weigh them down. And YAY for POG being #1.

[/ QUOTE ] MEb, Forgot about the Finance/MMB merger already?... combined finance traffic peaked out in February... we'll see how things go from here. fwiw, The Beginners/General merge also resulted in a traffic drop. I'll try to get a full commentary post up later today.

I thought it was obvious I figured out how you did it, but anyways thats still pretty shady. THE FINANCE FORUM had its highest post count month ever, period. Combining two forums posts to make it look like it didn't is shady. By that thought process to get a true idea of OOT's post counts we should combine post counts from OOT, EDF, The Lounge, Sporting Events, POG, Politics, Health and Fitness, Student Life, Video Games, Laughs or Links, and SMP thus making it the largest forum on 2+2 by a ridiculously wide margin.
Also, Finance's number this month are still up 40-50% over the number's that finance put up pre-MMB split.

hard to compare finance numbers because of the merger, but it FEELS like there is more traffic and there is still some high level discussion going on. I think the drop of in total posts occured because we cracked down on the spam MMB posts. Im pretty happy with the forum so far.

I think the big news here is that BBV4Life and POG had huge jumps in traffic, with increases of more than 50% in one month. Personally, I'm just waiting for B4L to wage war on POG so they can claim the top spot.

Yet BBV4L is below OOT and far below BBV in terms of viewers of the forum. And POG is nowhere close. While post count does provide some basic trend info, it's a pretty nonsensical way to gauge the relative popularity and importance of forums within 2+2.
