Making the most of a road-trip thru New England w/ the GF...ideas?

West Point is worth seeing. Right on the Hudson, beautiful views, immaculate campus (of course), and a fair amount of history.

For a good long drive route, take the Hutchinson River Pkwy north to the West Cross Pkwy, all the way to New Haven, then wander around Yale for a while.

Mystic Seaport in Mystic, CT is a good destination.

Finally, this place in Upstate NY is a gorgeous B&B that just happens to be run by very good friends of me and my wife; we were married there. The setting is to die for, and winery tours are right down the road.
