Re: Low M late in a MTT - call push with 77?
[ QUOTE ]
Doesn't where the bubble is matter in this decision? Or is that common knowledge & I'm uncommon? I haven't gone this deep in a Stars MTT in, well, I think ever. I'm just saying, while Hero is at ~5 BBs left & probably stacks up well against UTG's shoving range, if there are several other short-stacks left might it be advantageous to wait, if another bustout or two will move him up the ladder? [/ QUOTE ] Completely independent of the rest of this thread and responses, you have to stick everything in here and it isn't even close. Do it NOWWWWWW |

Re: Low M late in a MTT - call push with 77?
Thanks everybody. After reading all replies, it seems like almost all of you say push. A few says fold, but also says it's very close. Thank for letting me know this, as this situation made me uncomfortable.
If someone is curious what happened: I did end up pushing my hand. Everyone else folded, but UTG showed QQ, and I lost and went out of the tourney a few hands later. But that doesn't matter. Now I know I did the right thing. I realize now that villians range was much wider than I first thought after he showed me the monster. Thanks for helping me analyze this, everybody. -karl edit: someone asked about the bubble. at these 45s at PokerStars, 1-7 gets ITM. in this situation 13 was left, as i stated in the OP. |

Your M = 3 Villain M = 2.5 For me it depends on the read, most players at the $1 tournies are donkies waiting for good hands so have no regard for M. If he's a good player he could have any 2. If u play u push. Looks like you should'v made a move earler on tho. [/ QUOTE ]This is a $1 buyin. There isn't many "good players" |
