Default NL200 6 max - TPTK - protect stack not hand

No reads on opponents. I'm multitabling on a mac, so I don't even have HUD.

NL200 6max - 6 handed

MP1 $375
CO $410
BT $350 HERO A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

MP1 and CO limp. Hero on the button raises to $12 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. The blinds fold. MP1 and CO both call.

FLOP ($39) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

MP1 checks. CO Checks. Hero bets $35. MP1 calls. CO folds.

TURN ($109) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

MP1 checks. Hero checks....

Who likes the check, given how deep we are. Who thinks it's weak tight?

I like the check, you are either way behind or way ahead. You don't have to protect against any draws.

The problem becomes what to do with a big bet on the river.

Do you think we are leaving too much value on the table by checking. Does anyone think that the villain will call two more bets with AJ or AT?

Unless villain's really really bad this is an easy check.

Sometimes I check this flop, since it's drawless, with plans to bet the turn and river.

The way you played it was fine (dare I say standard). I think you only get 2 streets of betting/calling out of villain here most of the time so checking one street to allow a weaker hand the opportunity to bluff or call you down is fine. Villain is drawing to 3 outs here most ofo the time so a free card is not a concern for me.

probably the most standard check ever seeing as this is the dryest board possible.

Does anyone raise the river if he bets?

I'm calling a river bet. I can't see any value in raising it on such a dry board.

If the river is a K then maybe, but I think calling a decent river bet is the play.

You checked the turn to induce action from a weaker hand which would not otherwise be inclined to call a bet. By raising the river (assuming river is a blank), what range of villain hands do you think will call?
