Re: AKs vs some strange line.
Agree that the flop raise is horrible. You really think he's folding to this raise after calling a PF 3bet and then donking into you? If he's this bad you'll get all his money anyway without taking any risk like going broke with A high. Call flop, fold to any decent turn bet.

Re: AKs vs some strange line.
dont like flop raise, most ppl arent folding their pp here. I dont see why you would riase flop in a RR pot with no hand and little to no FE

Re: AKs vs some strange line.
If villain limped pre and then donked this flop, I'm much more inclined to raise. Villain can take a stab at this pot with a lot of whiffed hands as well as pocket pairs. I found that raising in these spots takes it down a lot of the time, which is a good result imo. Besides, the pot is not so big as in a RR pot, so if we get reraised we can easily fold.
However when he raises pre and leads into this flop, I think his range now consists of a lot more decent PP's, which he is not planning to fold most of the time. His 3b all in gave you a tough decision, which you could have prevented by not raising. |

Re: AKs vs some strange line.
If you were bluff raising, now why not fold? You are almost always behind right now considering his 9% PFR. Is your equity worth a call against any pair?
