Re: 1/2 NL Grinder

Cannot imagine making over $30 an hour longterm at these levels. [/ QUOTE ] Depending on how you table select and what hours you play, 30/hr in the summer in AC is very doable. |

Re: 1/2 NL Grinder
OP, I just wanna say congrats on your success. You only play during the week? I'll be in town Thurs-Sat, and I play mostly the same rooms as you. I'll probably be at Caesar's tomorrow night. If you are there, feel free to stop by and say hi. I'm the 24 year old with red hair, black Georgetown hat. Good luck, future success.

[/ QUOTE ] I will be playing 1/2 or 2/5, it really depends. Last weekend was my first time ever at Caesars, but if a few guys I played with last weekend are playing 2/5, I'll be in that game. Otherwise, 1/2. I get in around 4 pm, play all night. See you there. |

Re: 1/2 NL Grinder
sweet
also, make sure you get in one session at bally's across the street - the dealers are the absolute worst but the play there this week has been great (by that i mean 60 year old ladies donating and reloading each and every hand) they won't be at 2/5 but i've played there 3 times so far this week and each day has been the same - profit!! good luck |

What kind of strategy do you play ? TAG ABC poker ? Lots of value betting ? Any tips ? Anything you've learned that you wish you knew at the start ? [/ QUOTE ] Ditto. Any advice would be appreciated. I live just outside A.C. and would love to be in OP's shoes. Full-time job + limited bankroll = only 2-3 sessions per month. Sigh. Also, why no Borgata or Trop? |

Re: 1/2 NL Grinder
The one thing I've always wondered about for the lowish stakes pro is health insurance. Covered under your gf's plan? Or just going without? I'm probably a bit paranoid, but it always seemed a big drawback to me.
