Default TPTK vs TAG deepish (with poll)

Have played about 50 hands with villain (most of them prior to this session), who seems pretty tag-ish. He presumably has a similar impression of me. No particular history, I 3-bet him a few hands ago and he folded, that's pretty much it.

I 3-bet pre-flop here about 90% of the time; this is one of the 10% of times that I didn't. I'm not really interested in a discussion about pre-flop.

I've attached a poll for the river decision to cater for those who can't be bothered to write anything, and because I'm interested in the balance of opinion.

Thanks in advance for any contribution guys.

I said marginal call just cause he pretty much checks anything less that AK here right?
there is not really any missed draws he can have here.

i hate so much of this hand I cant really make a good comment.

I said marginal call because our hand is underrepped, and a 3barrel bluff is in his range

that's what i thought

He could have AQ here easily, we never raised him and i'd think that my TPGK would be good here, too.

You can tell me why you hate it.

Interested to hear comments on flop and turn as well as river if you have them.

I think its a fold and not close. IMO

Yes your hand is not defined, but I think here your splitting at best. If he is taggish as stated, I would think that 1 pair is not good here. Without reads you cant think that a taggish player is gonna over play AQ/AJ this way. I would fold, and note the hand and pay attention to this guy. If you see him do this stuff alot then next time you can look him up since he will be giving it away.

I try and play a style that never lets me play a hand OOP unless I am the agressor. Without showing any agression you have a tough spot on the river.

What hand could he have here?
AA and 99 are the only hands that beat us and fit his range imo. AK splits, we beat AQ and AJs (maybe ATs).
The board contains an Ace and 4 cards which dont fit villains range, except 99.
If he drew out on us with 88 it's sick, but he would have stopped betting with 88 on the turn, i guess.

I still think it's a marginal call.

He doesnt have a range, after 50 hands, the read is he is taggish.

Personally I look at this from villans eyes. What does he think we have? We call 2 streets after his preflop raise. We have slightly more than PSB left on the river, so he shoves for value. If hero has any hand that would call a bet, he is calling the river here, and villan knows this. So his shove is for value, and I think 1 pair=no good.

grunch

I think this is an easy call simply because we have repped out hand to be a weak ace. Were I the villain I would be betting the hell out of AJ,and AQ.

Given the villain is taggish, I think we are behind to a set only here, maybe A9..... hmmm I wonder if that's what he has here... 1/2 pot flop... 4/5 pot turn... over pot river with top 2

very likely. I change my answer. - marginal call/fold. I'm split.
