Noise Cancelling Headphones cost a player his 10k tourney
from pokernews.com
Headphone Problems During this year's WSOP we have heard of numerous situations where players' use of headphone's, especially the noise-cancelling ones, are causing problems. Well a player on table 40 just found out how detrimental they can be. In the big blind in seat one he saw a series of players limp, but missed the small blind, in seat 10, raise to 3,000. The dealer clearly announced the raise but the big blind could not hear him because of his headphones. He moved all his chips in with A-10 and was called by the small blind who was holding queens. He didn't improve, and after the hand admitted he didn't even know the small blind was in the hand. |

[/ QUOTE ] I understand if it's your daily MTT grind, but wtf would you go to the WSOP ME and listen to music on your noise cancelling headphones, unless a $10k buyin was totally inconsequential to you? |

[/ QUOTE ] If someone feels more relaxed, comfortable, etc. listening to headphones, then it probably gives him a better chance of winning. My quest for the perfect set of headphones has probably ended with these, which I think are more better than the QC3s in every way, including the ability to listen to music and still be able to hear verbal cues around you at the right volume. |

[/ QUOTE ] The few times I sampled Bose phones the sound quality was terrible, noise cancelling they're probably fine but Bose managed to get a high profile name without ever really putting out anything good. Check Sennheiser, Ultimate Ears, Etymotic Research, Shure, or if you're really baller get a pair of Sony R10s If you like the Bose phones though more power to you, just in my experience at least sound quality wise the sony v150s sound better and they're not even that good amongst cheap headphones. |
