Default Confused with QQ, 200NL

I'm not using a HUD and have no read on villian. He has been at the table for a few hands so I guess he hasn't done anything out of the usual.

I have ~ $230, both cover.

UTG raises to $8, MP calls, I re-raise to $34 OTB w red queens. UTG calls, MP folds.

Flop (Pot ~$75) 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG checks, I bet $50 (don't know why I bet so small).

Turn T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG checks, I check

River (Pot $175) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

UTG shoves, its $150 for me to call.

ugly situation.
You kinda got yourself in it by checking behind on the turn though.
That's why i'd prefer betting the turn again. He probably has a lower pp.
Against unknown i wouldnt expect him trying to push us off a big pair on the river, also because his pp has some showdown value.
Thus he's probably doing this for value and you should fold.

I dont think I can fold this. If you check the turn it has to be to call this. Your hand looks like AK.

If villian cant beat AK and wants us to fold it, then a push is retarded.

If he knows you have AK, he can induce a bluff and snap call with his small PP... +ev (you always fold AK here if he pushes).

So, you don't beat AA/KK/TT/99. You are beating JJ, split with QQ... He raised UTG, so he will fold AK (or 4 bets PF) on this flop.
Looks like an easy fold for me. If he got JJ, well, nh.

If villain CANT BEAT AK he cant snapcall a AK bluff. So bluffing with a worse hand makes perfect sense.

However I dont think he does that very often.

Well I folded but later worried that this is the exact line AhKh might take.

I asked him what he had and he said 77, but that's exactly what I would say no matter what I had.
