For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of following Alan Keyes' run against Barack Obama for senate:

Keyes always strikes me as (in addition to being mildly insane) ridiculously smart. Applies his intellect to political hogwash that doesn't add up, but he seems like such a smart person.

I still say he talks like Kermit the frog though.

Obama's facial expression ("wut!?") towards the end is pretty good, when Keyes explains that not knowing who your brothers and sisters are makes it more likely that you will have sex with them.

He's certainly a good speaker, despite the kermit voice. I don't think anyone would disagree. If only his actual words made sense...

When Hillary Clinton moved to New York to run for Senate, Alan Keyes was outraged. A few years later he was the last second fill-in candidate in Illinois, a state that he had never lived in. Even by political standards, the hypocrisy of Alan Keyes was off the scale.

It's not so much the words that don't make sense. He does not speak gibberish like a homeless person. The beauty is how seamlessly he connects complex ideas in a way that makes no sense at all. He is great to watch, because he can confuse you're ordinary person/politician into thinks absurd things.

Ya he is a treat to watch. Everyone should smoke a joint and watch Alan Keyes videos. (If only the words didn't represent real consequences it might be more pleasant.)
