I think the RP supporters will probably mount a write in campaign as a show of support regardless of what Paul wants.

Thats what I plan to do.

I generally vote for the Libertarian candidate in every presidential election and I will probably do so again.

If Ron Paul by some miracle wins the Republican nomination I suppose I'd vote Republican, since he's just a libertarian pretending to be a Republican. I can support that.

I've already put on record that I'd vote for any candidate who promises to end the drug war and/or social security as we know it. Ron Paul fits the bill but so does every libertarian candidate that I know of.

Write in votes are thrown out in my state. Literally. They are not even counted. If Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination, which is about 92.5% to happen right now, I will stay home.
