Flop I 3-bet. Turn can be so scary that it freezes either us or the villain and we don't get the 0.5SB more that we are planning(?) to take with a turn raise. There's plenty of draws that could hit BB's range.

Turn is good. Value and protection.

River is good. Wouldn't want to call a 3bet.

protection has little to do with it. protection suggests we want him to fold. he's not folding anything we want him to.

this is 100% value imo

On a two-tone turn board my thoughts were that I wouldn't mind a fold from a FD - admittedly that's not going to happen so raise is for value vs FDs.

Gutshots are the only draws that could fold to our raise. However, considering the flop 64/97 aren't in his range just about ever without a FD as well. I don't think that even 64/97 of hearts are likely.

You are spot on: it's for value only. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
