ok, i guess i just got flustered when everybody (including me) but one folded and the turn was the 9. Now that I see it again, fold was pretty easy. how about agains 2 opponents, but with good odds?

It is mind-boggling to me that this is a clear fold for everyone wherease a few weeks earlier, everyone wanted to call with JT on a board of QTx with the same horrible position.

(btw yes this is a clear fold).

make up your minds!

oh, i guess Aaron hasnt weighed in yet. he started it all last time

There are a couple significant differences between this hand and the other one.

This hand: 89o on a Q94 flush draw board
Other hand: JTs on a QT7 flush draw board

Difference #1: No backdoor flush draw this time
Difference #2: Backdoor straight draw needs to hit two inside cards this time
Difference #3: Backdoor straight draw brings hero to an idiot straight this time
Difference #4: 1 of 5 villains (20%) have acted in this hand as opposed to 3 of 7 (42%) villains in the other (including a check and a fold)
Difference #5: Extra BB in the pot due to the two extra preflop limpers (33% bigger pot)

They're not the same. This is a pretty safe fold. The other is an okay peel if the players behind are passive.

This reminds me of another post earlier in the week, ur position is pretty horrible here esp with 5 more to act. Also u have to discount the 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] cause it's likely that someone could be on a fd therefore u can only rly count 2 outs for ur 8's.

We're gunna be up against so many hands that can out draw us as well as being in a horrible rio spot (ie A9/K9/Q9/J9/T9, the last 2 not being as bad but still got us beat!)

So long way round it's an easy fold.

I think you are talking about a hand I posted from SSHE which I have thought about quite a bit. This one has half the pot and about one third the outs 2 vs 6.5 and may not even be a winner on lots of those. This has to be a fold
