Default win rate

I was wondering how you guys calculated your winrate online. Do you include the money generated by bonuses and rakeback or do you just go by the actual winrate.

Right now my winrate is laughably around 0.3PTBB/100, but with bonus/rakeback it sits comfortably just around 1PTBB/100.

I know that means that I shouldn't move up in stakes any time soon as I am barely beating the current game, but other than that it's good, right?

Maybe you can't quit your day-job, but it's good to be winning. Break-even is much better than the average player does.

In my view you must ignore bonus and rakeback. This has nothing to do with winrate.

By all means track that separately and this can add up to a substantial sum if you play enough but it is not part of your winrate.

Don't mean to intrude on thread, but I keep seeing people say xxPTBB/100. What exactly is the "PT?" When I view stats I simply see xxBB/100.

if your win rate is 0.3 bb/100 you probably have some huge leaks and really could use analyzing your game, you wont be a winner at the next level with that same play.

PTBB is actually 2BB, because PT was originally developed for limit, and it was put in big bets (2 big blinds)

So PTBB is the same as "Big Bets per 100 hands" on Poker Tracker?

kinda....
1 ptBB = 2 big blinds
so say you play NL50 and your winrate is 1 ptBB/100 then you are making 2 big blinds every 100 hands, that is $1.

My Big Bets Per 100 is 64.55. If I understand you, then I half this number to arrive at ptBB?

No, ptBB / 100 = Big Bets / 100

No offence, but I highly doubt your true winrate is 64.55

A winrate of 5ptBB/100 is considered to be very good. A winrate of 10ptBB/100 is considered to be crushing the game and is unsustainable.

I'm guessing there's an error in your statistics or your sample is way too small. On how many hands are you calculating this winrate ?

That depends on the game.

About a year ago, it was fashionable among some experienced players to say that 10-12 PTBB/100 was sustainable at NL $600. Now, it seems to be fashionable to say that winning 6 PTBB/100 at NL $25 is good. Both are misrepresentations. While many of the online games have gotten tougher in the past year, it hasn't been anything close to that. Much higher win rates are sustainable at low levels.
