Such a bad way for him to lose.
Seeing eye single. Stolen base moves to third on a ground out. Bloop single. |

Also on the stolen base, twas a hit and run and the home plate ump originally signaled foul tip then waved it off. They didn't show a replay though to see whether Counsell actually tipped it or not.

Re: Official Brandon Webb Consecutive Scoreless Innings Thread
He's been mowing them down since. Averaging 12 pitches per inning through four.
And, in truly Suppan-esque fashion, the Brewers' starter gives up a homer and a triple to the first two batters he faced (although, in his defense, he has pitched well into the fourth inning after those two batters). |

Re: Official Brandon Webb Consecutive Scoreless Innings Thread
I went to the game last night. The crowd size was just average I guess, I think I expected more because of the circumstances but we certainly gave him his due when it was over and as he walked into the dugout. As much as I wanted to see him break the streak, in my heart I knew that 17 more scoreless innings was highly unlikely in this age. Time to start chasing down 20 wins and the Cy Young.
