Default DialUp/DSL/Cable disconnect question

The datarate for online poker is so low even dialup can handle it easily. But what about frequency of disconnects. Comparing these

DialUp
DSL
Cable

how do they compare with regard to disconnects. In particular is DSL any better than DialUp.

Go with Cable. I rarely get disconnected, the only time I had a problem was when the firmware on my router needed to be updated...

I have heard sopme people have problems with cable (as far as signal strength or something like that). But a signal booster should take care of that. This I believe is only when you have a lot of items on your cable +6TVs +2 puters.

probably will.

Even so (and bump) I would still like to hear people's experiences with DSL, specifically re disconnects. Speed is not really an issue.

I use DSL by Verizon. I can only remember 2 times loosing connection in like the last 5 years or so. One time 1/2 the eastern seaboard got knocked out and the other time oh well. I'm NY so maybe this has something to do with the service being very reliable.

I had cox cable for 3 years and never had a problem, them I started getting disconnects, I switched to Qwest DSL and have been with them for 2 years and had no disconnects.

Pretty much I dont think it matters, just find which one is best in your area and go with it.
