PSA -- Taj Friday O/8 Tournament apparently gone

The Taj website now lists the Friday 12:15 as a NL Hold Them. No Omaha tourney listed on Friday (or any other day).

Well, it was at 3:15 on a Friday. For out of towners, this was a horrible time. Most weekenders get into town a bit after that time and have to check in. For locals, I can't imagine that mid-Friday afternoon is exactly an attractive time to start a tourney either. It's like a network putting a show in a crappy time slot, then using it's failure to assume no one would have liked it anyway.

Has obviously gone the way of the buffalo, just like their weekly 7CS tournament. Seemed inevitable though, the number of O8 entrants was abysmal.

I doubt Borgata would consider O8 tourneys, since the NLHE ones are super popular already there. Might be possible to arrange single table O8 SNG's if you get ahold of reasonable floor people.

I can deal with the loss of a daily tournament. I too heard that the numbers had dropped precipitously, and I only played it a couple of times myself. But it would be nice if, like in the Borgata Summer Open thing coming up, for example, they would include an Omaha event.
