He is going to learn to throw a knuckleball with his right hand and pitch until he is 70.

He pitched solid down the stretch for the Phils. Surprisingly he also pitched better at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies don't need great start pitching to win the division. They just need 5 guys who give them a chance every time they take the ball and a bullpen.

Jamie Moyer and Rafael Palmeiro for Mitch Williams. And we question why the Cubs are almost always bad. One of the worst trades in baseball history....and it usually never gets mentioned in this category..not sure why.

I root for Seattle, but the A's have been my favorite team for 32 years. I tend to think that the trade was a mistake, but you never know. Maybe one of the Andrew's that we got will amount to something. Moyer was almost alway's good for 7+. Even if he lost the bullpen got a break from Pinero's 4 inning disasters. Moyer was quality on and off the field.

I like the signing too, pitching hard to come buy and if he gives you close to 200 innings and ERA around 4 this day in age have to take it.

Agreed. Seems like a good, crafty lefty who could pitch well into his 40's. Not to mention he seems to have had a positive impact on Hamels pitching style.

at 5 mil per season, it's not a bad deal. He gives you innings. And it's not like he is a power pitcher who should deteriorate with age.
