I can count on one hand the decisions in my life that it has taken me more than 2 seconds to make, and in each of those cases I was really just stalling because the decision sucked. Some decisions are relly, really close, but none of them are ties. [/ QUOTE ] In the same way that you could artificially construct poker situations where calling, folding and raising all have exactly the same EV, I'm sure you could artificially construct a dilemma where each option has equal but nonidentical value. Continuing with the poker analogy, you'd make your decision on which has less 'variance'.
