Default Poker room at hochunk or Dejope in Madison?

Is this true? anyone have info on this? I've heard their dealers are being trained and the room is scheduled to open in February. Is this to be in Madison or Baraboo?

What stakes will be offered?

No poker in DeJope.

Just called Ho-Chunk. They're doing a soft-opening of their room on Jan. 14.
Finally.

What exactly is a soft opening? Did they mention how many tables or what limits they'd be offering?

It's open, but they're not making any big public announcements. I've got a call in to the room manager, his colleague promised a call back after they got out of poker dealer class.

Duh! It dawned on me, I could call. hehehehe.

Opens Sunday. offering 2/4 5/10 and possiblyt 10/20. Holdem, Omaha and 7 Card Stud. 10 Tables. The lady didn't know about smoking, rake, or tournaments.

This is gonna be awesome. I'm now 30 minutes from a pokerroom instead of the 90 minute drive to milwaukee.

No no-limit games or tournaments until about April to give the dealers time to get broken in.

I can confirm this, as can I confirm the information about no tournaments or no-limit until April ... just got off the phone with the table games floor manager.

I'm very excited.

Ditto. The Ho-Chunk is less than 30 minutes from my girlfriend's parents. Looks like we'll be visiting them much more often!

I take it they don't yet have a dedicated phone # for the poker room, so one should just call the main number for add'l info?

YA! I may have been able to beat the rake at 2/4 in Milwaukee but not the 2am speeding tickets. Dame state troopers patrol that stretch of 94 tighter than a frogs [censored].
