400: KTs otb 3 way
Effective stacks of $400
BB is a donk. Loves to bluff and loves to pay off with mediocre hands. HJ is a very loose player. I have K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] otb HJ open limps, I limp, BB checks. Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB checks, HJ checks, I check. Thoughts?

I'd raise preflop. The check behind is fine IMO.

Seems like you explain it pretty well in your summary. You are going to check and call down with top pair middle kicker because numb nuts likes to make a lot of bluffs.
That said you should fold while you have a chance one of them has a 4 for sure.

FWIW, this hand is not a hand I played. This came from pg. 135 of PNLHE Hand #3.
I was rereading this section today for the study group, and this was a hand where I would have played it differently, but probably wasn't considering enough things.
