And under the preferences tab on pokertracker click the box that says "treat 'BB' for NL/PL As Big Blind Amt." on the right side.

So you already had it on ptBB.

That's pretty impressive.

Can you post a screenshot?

I wouldn't be surprised if holdem2000 had a pretty high winrate, since from what I've seen, he is pretty good. I've lost money at showdown this month but am still at 2.8 ptbb. If you were to run average or a little well, 6.6 ptbb would certainly be feasible, even over a "small 117k sample".

What is it over your past 180k hands?

[/ QUOTE ]

There is a reason I start my sample where I did, I made a pretty significant change in my game at the start of it. 4.67 over my last 180K hands.

FWIW currently have a standard deviation of 1.14 ptBB/100 on that winrate

[/ QUOTE ]

No you don't.

[/ QUOTE ]was good for an lol though. I thought 1.14 would be impossible but I guess I could be wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]

The number in PT is the standard deviation for what your winnings would be in a 100 hand sample (in my case about 38 ptBB/100) the 1.14 number I gave you is the standard deviation on my winrate for the 117K hand sample. In some contexts this would be written as 6.66 +/- 1.14 ptBB/100.

So 1.14ptBB/117k

By the way, did you convert that the right way? You know you have to convert from SD to variance, multiply, and then convert back?

Also, most statistics problems are written within 2 standard deviations (95%) as opposed to one standard deviation (68%).

Using this example, your variance v is your standard deviation squared, or 38*38=1444ptBB/100.

Multiplying the variance by 1170 (because we are going from 100 hands to 117,000), we get 1444*1170=1,689,480.

Going back to standard deviation (now per 117k hands), we take the square root of 1,689,480=1300ptBB.

As stated before, 2 standard deviations is typically used because it is much more accurate (95.5%) than one standard deviation (68%). So 2 standard deviations over this sample is going to be 2600ptBB/117,000.

To compare this to your winrate, which is in ptBB/ 100, we simply divide 2600/ (117,000/100). And we get 2.22BB/100, which is extremely close to the figure that you had for presumably 1 standard deviation.

So I would write it as:

6.66ptBB/100 +/- 2.22ptBB/100

Still an incredible strong winrate regardless.

These threads are kind of funny though.

If you really want to maximize your earn, you're going to play more tables and your WR is going to go down.

So BB/HR is much, much more important than BB/100.
