Default AK preflop (basic type stuff)

so this is obviosly a beginners type situation, but i have been getting crippled the last week with AK all in spots.


Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $75.45
BB: $96.60
Hero (UTG): $95.50
CO: $215.10
BTN: $105.40

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 Players)

That is fine if you want to race for your stack. You also could be crushed considering button's range here.

i mean thats always a concern with AK and 4 betting.

nittier numbers (15/12). an OK player who is positionally aware enough to know you are raising UTG.

3betting tendencies matter to me more than general PFR, since some players raise a lot but only 3bet premium hands.

Does Button 3bet a decent amount?
Have you seen him 3bet and fold to a shove (indicating he 3bets with more than QQ+)?

I don't want to Hijack OP's post, But other than limping a little more. A 22/12 and a 15/12 pretty much Raise the same types of hands, don't they?

I also believe the 3 better needs looser numbers (PFR), not tighter.

Imo.
