Default AQo Loose Game

Just an example concept idea from HEFAP.. does anyone make this play?

Hero is button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls, Hero calls!

I always instinctively raise in this position, but is calling another option, or is this specifically mentioned for full ring play only? Could a couple 40/5/<1 players make this viable in shorthanded play?

BTW, this is mentioned in the section on loose games, and I guess follows the idea that a hand such as AQ won't often win UI against multiple calling stations.

40/5/<1 types are not the opponents HEPFAP is dealing with.

If anyone has a question to do with HEPFAP, this is the answer 90% of the time.

I often call. Even if AQ has pot-equity against 3 limpers. If the blinds are tight or one of the limper is a knowed limp reraiser I raise.

raising has so much going for it. you get FE, you can check behind on the flop or maybe the turn if you want. and raising is just more fun.
