Default 50c NLO8 -- (AAA3 facing 2 PF all-ins)

Should I call this massive PF overbet???

.25/.50 NLO8 on Stars. I'm intentionally playing short.

About 5 minutes into the session. I have two PLO games going as well so my notes on the players aren't that strong.
CO is loose and kind of a moron. There's a bigger one in this game, but CO is up there. This is the first redonkulous PF bet at the table since I sat.

I don't know what to make of SB except he's got a reasonable stack. He hasn't made any PF raises or big bets thus far. The only reason I can see for his push is to isolate the CO. Naturally I assume that's a one-way high-only hand. He obviously can't have aces.

For me, having three aces kills some of my high hand potential. But does it do enough to kill two opponents' low-hand potential that I can call this?

I limped originally because I figured it neutered them enough to see a cheap flop from up front.

I would think the odds one of them has A2 is pretty small, especially the way the betting played out. The smidge of dead money in there should be cancelled by the rake.

MP2: ($59.70 in chips)
MP3: ($43.30 in chips)
CO: ($13.75 in chips)
BUTTON: ($36.05 in chips)
SB: ($46.15 in chips)
BB: ($43.45 in chips)
UTG: ($32.65 in chips)
HERO ($16.30 in chips)
MP1: ($28.85 in chips)

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]
fold, HERO calls, fold, call, call, CO raises to $13.75 (all-in), fold, SB raises to $46.15 (all-in), fold, HERO ??? (pot currently $32.05, rake will take $2+ if I call)

I ran a twodimes against kings single suited and A258 single suited and you were like 38% to win. So I think this is a close call.
Oddly enough the hand that puts you in worst shape is if someone has something like 4 to a low straight.

Hi Chucky - Interesting.

Shoving all your chips in before the flop must be Omaha-8 reduced to its lowest possible skill level.

At first I thought AAA3n was an easy fold.

But when I simulated, giving two opponents random cards, Hero is ahead with an equity of about 43%. Even if one opponent has the missing ace and the other cards are random, Hero is still ahead with an equity of about 40%.

I don't like it, but I think Hero should bite the bullet and call, all-in.

This is an easy fist-pump all-in. The extra A is not that relevant, think of your hand as AA3x.

Yeah it's pretty objectionable. But that's no different than any live NLHE or the 250BB pre-flop all-in I witness in a B&M PLO game. I tried not to barf when I saw the caller had crappy kings, no suits.

I've been trying to adapt Rolf Slotboom's short-stacking PLO theory to O8 just for the hell of it. However, I can't find many situations where it makes a lot of sense to push pre-flop...outside of aces suited with wheel cards. I can't figure what's comparable to a sweet double-suited rundown hand.

If it were AAA2 rather than 3, would you hesitate to call?
Flush draw would help, but I think I'm easily calling here.

Insta-call with AAA2. Twice as fast if suited.

AAxx does well against a single opponent, just as in PLO8. Even AA without wheel cards is better than 50% against almost all hands.
