hmm I dont think I had to contact them. There might be a minimum amount of 5k or 10k though.

at least for me, there's another option on ftp called a bank transfer or something, and it has a MAX withdrawal of 3k. i say "at least for me" because last i checked they said that they were allowing certain players to use it in order to receive some feedback before releasing it to everybody. so i dunno if you have this option or not, but you could always email them and ask.

i just posted this in bbv4life and i think it explains why i need to quit playing for a few months. i have a [censored] phone which is the cheapest available, i have 2 jumpers which fit me, and i look like i havent had a good meal in months. like most of us here, ive been very lucky to do well at online poker, but now with a job its more of a burden in terms of 'i have 2 free hours today, i should go play online to make money'. online poker is no longer giving me the freedom to do what i want when i want (as it has done for the last few years as at uni), but instead taking what little time i do have away from me. i'll always recommend anyone to take up and play online, but for me right now, i need to enjoy a bit of what ive saved up from playing online poker, rather than it taking up what free time i have.
