if you think he is more likely to threebarrel with air or to do so via overvaluing some crappy ace, then i like your line.

my default is to raise the flop and call a shove, especially against a 48/14, regardless of anything else

In general you should never raise/fold a flop for 100BB (and prob. not deeper either, you should've just called in that case) unless you're bluff raising.

IF you decide to raise it's with the idea that worse hands/draws will call/push, not to "see where you're at".

Free showdown kinda raises don't occur untill the turn.
