I don't think this goes here , but tried the FAQ and it's not worth its own thread.
I'm playing around with the 6 and 15 PLOH8 and stud8 tourneys on Stars. I'd like to have my results recorded and any analytical tools would be great (got stove obv) Is there anything good out there? Is it worth conning PTH into thinking they're HE tourneys (for profit calculation etc)? Does the possibility of a split pot have consequences for ICM calculations or is it just an EV thing? Why do I sharkscope the worst players at the table?
Any advice would be appreciated. I'm on unfamiliar ground

This is a live 2-20 spread limit hand. Blinds 1/2

I am in UTG +2

UTG limps
I raise to 8 with QQ.
Tricky player MP1 who likes to isolate against me makes it 18.
Folds to tricky/aggressive player on button who makes it 38.
I call.
MP1 raises to 58.
Button calls.
I call.

Pot is $158.

Flop comes Q44.
I lead for $20

MP1 folds

Button calls.

Turn is a Q.

I lead for $20

Button folds.

**I have been making a conscious effort to play as straightforwardly as possible. At the time, I felt that at least one of these guys has AA or KK, so I was looking to be raised on the flop. Should I have check-raised the flop? How about the turn? What's the best way to get value here?

Sixes,

I think betting the flop in this hand is pretty awful. Sorry

I dunno...depends on your typical playing style. Since it's basically limit with no increase in bet size on "bigger" streets, the goal is to get bets in on every street, not 1-2 big bets whenever like NL.

I think that my image kills this hand more than anything. I am constantly being referred to in this game as "solid." I don't think I've ever been caught in a bluff by these either of these guys, so maybe it was too easy for them to pin QQ on me.

With the pre-flop action I have to assume that one of them has an over pair and another has something in the range of TT-JJ. If they are merely playing this aggressively with AK or something like that, I am not going to get much action any way.

I was hoping that the flop bet would lead to a raise, a call and a re-raise on the flop where I could toss a stack in on every street and get called down by at least one guy.

MP1 claims he folded KK

and button showed me his JJ.

I am playing this game 15-20 hours a week, and it is interesting to be see the live game dynamics as you play with regulars. Its a part of poker I never paid attention to playing SNGs online.

Q44 is so dry, he's gotta put you on AQ or QQ when you lead out and he probably thinks you fold AQ preflop facing two bets. i would rather lead with 76s or 22 (with your image)

3r busto when KK<JJ again. Last 4 times I've had KK I've got it all-in and lost to a lower pair. So far this month I'm losing T$ 380 per KK hand. Someone please turn the statistics back on.

I know people talk about how soft live SNGs are, but the one I played last night was so unbelievable. People literally were limping J6o UTG, etc. I saw a guy cold-call 500 preflop with 400 behind, and fold his last 400 on the flop. Another kid open limped CO and folded to a button minraise. The action was just sick soft. The cash games aren't much tougher. I'm used to Turning Stone, which seems relatively tough/nitty compared to the 'Woods.

Anywayyyyy....

I'm going to be arriving in Vegas tomorrow morning at 930 Vegas time. Bobbo is supposed to be picking me up at the airport, so if one of you guys in the SIHWB could make sure that he actually wakes up (he has a history of sleeping through important things), I'd really appreciate it. FWIW, the best way to wake him up is generally a hard slap to the face.

AMT---I'm looking at you for this!
