I thought it was funny that the old man was sitting in his wheelchair near the door waiting for his son who just finished. My twisted mind is thinking that the son was eliminated about 5 hours after the old guy and this 95 year old is just sitting there probably in serious need of a changing

I was watching him when he made that call and the guys around me were all in agreement that it was shocking. Daniel explained it on his blog that he was getting tired and fed up with laying hands down so he basically just gave up on his last 40k. I'd been scrapping to stay in the main event with garbage and would've loved to have 40k but that's the pros for you. A 10k buyin event is just loose change to them.

This happens to ppl all the time. Roddick vs Federer. Roddick played Federer toe-to-toe and was still losing 2 sets to none. His spirit was gone and his body wouldn't respond.
After losing a few hands, DN's spirit was broken. If this hand loses, why bother?

ESPN's coverage of the WSOP is worthless.
