Default Ballys Atlantic City

A shift manager from Las Vegas is heading to NJ to take over the Director of Poker at this room.
Anyone ever play here?

It's a decent sized room and i'm actually curious to check it out since the smoking ban. It used to be the only room in town that allowed smoking. I'm sure that fact alone kept alot of people out.

Actually the smoking ban had the opposite effect, it was a complete graveyard after the ban, the only reason they get a few games going now is the summer boom. I heard they're trying some new things..higher cap in 2-5 NL etc.

Was there 2 weeks ago. $200 cap at 1/2 NL The 1/3 game wasn't running, two 1/2 games were. 1-5 spread limit Stud game was running. And yes, it was a graveyard although it was a Thursday night at midnight.

They are allowing smoking in some of the chairs (think college desk) in the simulcast area just outside the poker room.

Stopped by the room last Wednesday afternoon. Room was dead, one 2-4 limit table and one 1-2 NL table going. That was it.

I played a night of 2/4 there a few years back during my first AC trip before I knew of the other poker rooms. Think the 3 seats beside my went through a carton of smokes. Horrible play like any other 2/4 but I couldnt take the smoke.

i played at ballys during college for the easy games that dont require thinking. this was mainly caused by the working class degenerates that donk off their $8.00/hr hate life job and smoke cigs like no tomorrow. if your going to play there, get really high before hand or you will get really bored. i recommend caesars for a loose/wild game with loads of wallet emptying donkeys. or borgata for a great cardroom and good games too.

I think the $1/5 still goes. The only 1/5 game in AC with an ante (.50 cents).
