what makes you think he'll fold to your turn bet if he likes his hand? And is he calling you here with no pair? Doubtful on both cases, methinks... I may well check the turn and hope to improve/check it down against such a passive player rather than get it all in there with ace high.

[/ QUOTE ] exactly. i think its quite likely this opponent: a) will call my turn bet with any pair, any draw. b) is unlikely to bluff the turn if checked to. c) if he has a hand, will either bet small or quite likely check it through. given these assumptions, betting the turn starts to look less than great. |
