AQ two pair - I wish I hadn\'t bet the turn now
I hate min raises. If I call I'm commited to call an all in on the river. Would shoving be +EV here? I imagin I'll be called by AhX etc. How about checking the turn and calling a psb on a non heart river.

Re: AQ two pair - I wish I hadn\'t bet the turn now
The problem here is would villain make such a raise with something other than a set or a flush. The minbet tells me that it could be a flush draw trying to scare you off.
If you call you are certainly committed. I prefer the shove to the call as he may fold trips and the call doesnt allow that possibility. |

Re: AQ two pair - I wish I hadn\'t bet the turn now
That is a very strong line in a 3-flush board. You want to check behind the turn to pot control. Was your turn bet a value bet or a scare bet?
I think I'm calling and re-evaluating on the river. Why would you be commited after this call? You still have half your stack. He can easily be stealing cheaply the pot (it's actually suspicious that he raised $1 more than the minimum). Call and fold to a river push |

Re: AQ two pair - I wish I hadn\'t bet the turn now
I like the turn bet for value and protection. It does put you in quite a sticky situation here though. On the whole I would shove and hope that he was raising a worse two pair, AK, or AhX. As senorquinn said, there is also an outside chance that he will fold a set.

Re: AQ two pair - I wish I hadn\'t bet the turn now
I get myself into spots like this far too often. I definitly prefer a shove to a call. Folding with half you're stack in sucks. I defintily prefer checking the turn and calling a river bet. By checking the turn, I reckon the villain will bet the river with a lot of hands that we beat and of course the flush.

I think this is a baluga spot.
You are 9:1 to fill up on the river, but you are getting 4:1 on your money. I think fold > call >>>>>>>>>> shove. Although calling wouldn't be terribly wrong, since he could have Ahx. |
