People should more apt to measure poker success by way of someone's poker theory, how they win/lose pots/make reads/tilt frequencies (table temperament), ability to improve their game, then staring glazily at someone's graphs.

I can say with full confidence that even over a large sample the best player at a particular game isn't the one with the most money won.

other gimmick accounts should take note. Fgators actually played 138k hands of [censored] poker so his gimmick can be believable.

Does the bill just prohibit the transfer of funds from a financial institution to a poker site? So technically your allowed to play just not deposit funds? Does this mean you still pay taxes on winnings?

ya, it's not illegal to play.

even if something was an illegal activity you're still supposed to pay taxes on it.

i had my struggles but i doubt it has anything to do with UIGEA. I was a struggling 2/4 player around september last year. by january, I was a winning 5/10 and 10/20 player. a couple of missteps in march with hu against some monster fishes led me to struggle big time. I have been recovering well since. The games are definitely tougher. There aren't monster fishes anymore. They pop up here and there but its rare. tournament players are learning more and more that they suck at cash games also. Overall I would say the games are twice as hard and i think its just getting harder everyday

Never gets old. I recently went like 25k hands break-even at 1/2 and I had this image saved on my PC for a morale booster every time I felt a bit low.

Pre UIGEA I played tourneys and limit. I wasn't real serious but I made enough to make it worth my time.

Post UIGEA I decided to get serious. I think the UIGEA made me realize that internet poker may not be around forever so I get serious about NL. I'm now playing at the midstakes and doing well.

I pretty hopeful about the future of poker. At least over the next couple of years. I plan to keep grinding and putting away most my winnings.
