Default PCA Steps are driving me insane!

Ive been playing the Stars PCA steps, always starting at step 1 and climbing my way up. Ive made it to step 5 and step 4 a few times but then busted out, which is very disheartening. Im willing to invest $500 which is good enough for 66 step 1s.

Looking for advice about whether its better to play them in batches or go straight up once I reach the next level. Any other advice about how to make it to step 6 would also be appreciated.

Are these steps similar to the old Party Poker steps? Where you have to make it to a certain place to get a free rebuy, but as the steps go up, it becomes harder and harder? If so, then play however you feel comfortable with BR wise. As far as making it to/winning step 6, you just have to win. post here for help and read alot of stuff as well.

I think you're fine multi-tabling if you're already used to it, but don't multi-table 2 different steps at once. Play say 4 Step 1's at a time and build up to 4 step 2 tickets. It also helps to have multiple tickets at each level rather than playing one ticket straight through until you bust out. It's a little less disheartening when you bust out of a step knowing you have more tickets and can buy-in right back at the same level.

I offered a little advice (whatever that's worth) in this thread about 3/4 of the way down. link
