Gobot,
I've been a lurker in these forums for a while, but I found your story to be pretty captivating, and felt compelled to register and post. I think you are an awesome storyteller, and think you could have great success as a writer, especially if it is true that this story is made up (although I believe it could certainly be true). I'm really hoping you'll finish your story sometime. |

Re: Flameout in life and in Poker (VERY LONG)
Err.. Jeeze, Glad I just read through 17 pages. What happened? lol
Seriously, if Godot didn't post the rest of his story because all of you idiots went on for 15 pages about stupid, pointless crap, I'll be angry with you guys. I mean, the guy writes better than all of you, is obviously smarter (as proven by the way he completly destroyed that guys post, which was [censored] HILARIOUS by the way) and actually has something interesting to say, again, unlike most of the people who posted in this thread. Even if his story is made up (which I 100% doubt) it's still more interesting than 95% of the posts that are on 2+2. So what happened, ya'll scared him away? When was his last post in this thread, two years ago? Ugh. More annoying is the fact that someone dug this post up, and as I result, I thought it was semi-new, and read it all, and now I basically have a bad case of blue balls, er, except for a story. |

Additionally, while I wouldn't know from personal experience, I am well acquinted with the fact that 12 step program (like GA and AA) use the concept of a "higher power" to aid in healing people. This technique has proven quite effective. [/ QUOTE ] This is just substituting one drug for another, Sniper. |
