To avoid the whole thing i just withdraw in USD, and the bank exchanges it to GBP automatically for me

[/ QUOTE ]
Huh? How does that work.

[/ QUOTE ]

Theres a drop down menu on my cashout screen, change it to USD, and the bank sorted the exchange on their end. Think i gained ~£40 on an £1800 withdrawal that i would have lost to the dodgy rates

I was invited for 10 days in vegas with the party and a dinner at a steakhouse during the main event.

how about just opening a usd account at your bank, and cash out through a cheque?
no currency exchange fees at all!

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah but then when your withdrawing your money from your bank, you get hit every time by their rates.

I'll be going travelling soon so I'll be making ATM withdrawals and if these were cross currency while not in my native country, they'd probly be extra bad.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have a USD bank account, and I can easily just transfer money from that account to my regular account. There are no fees for the transfers and the rate is good. I think this is definitely the best option. Dealing with Party is too hard.

golf, deuces, tourney? wtf?

[/ QUOTE ]

If you remember the email you got when you were invited to join the deuces club, it said you would get invitations to free events and parties. Which basically means sometimes being offered free VIP tickets to sporting events and dinners and such. This is the second invite I've got to an event but I think some people haven't got any yet, so they're probably just allocated randomly or soemthing.

[/ QUOTE ]
ah, i c. no invitations so far for me.

I would seriously consider sticking $100k in neteller for the time being, and changing the $20k (depending on stakes etc) into home currency for your party bankroll.

Then cash out what you need from the neteller account (which has better exhange rate?) and leave some money in neteller (for other sites, and hoping that the exchange rate improves).

My long-term solution is that I essentially have 2 bankrolls now: A party bankroll (in GBP) and a non-party bankroll (in USD). They are both sufficient that it would have to take a serious downswing for me to have to consolidate the two bankrolls. I still get hit with the neteller/FT/PS conversion rate when cashing out from the USD bankroll, but I rarely have to worry about party exchange rate .

[/ QUOTE ]

Very good advice:

Im actually doing this with click2pay same thing but i think there exchange rate is better as it uses the international banks exchange rates found here:http://www.gocurrency.com/

I also have had conversations with VIP ect and no joy. This situation is very upsetting at the moment as the USD is so dam weak at the moment and keeps dropping all the time

PartyPoker make money out of players depositing which i feel is a bit dirty as there already the biggest rake in the game

What is it with people mentioning BBJ tables without a single hand close to qualifying? No quads. No straight flushes. What am I missing?

how does the fact that this was a BBJ table affect the hand?
youd need two perfect cards to hit the JP.
