Default QQ with 2 overcards on the flop

$1/$2 full ring

I am UTG +1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

1 fold, I raise, 1 call, 5 folds, BB calls

flop comes K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

BB checks,I bet, 1 fold, BB calls

turn comes 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB checks,I bet, BB calls

I felt that with my preflop raise, I could C'bet the flop and represent an A. With one caller, my plan was to bet the turn, and take a free showdown on the river, or fold if donked to. I was wondering if this is poor, ok he hasnt shown any aggression, but if we assume an average normal micro player( I had no reads), I am likely beat a large percentage of the time. Anyone like a check fold on the turn? seems kinda weak but at the same time, seems foolish to keep going with 3rd pair

You played it fine. Now check and accept defeat.

That's fine. Sometimes I just give up on the turn, too. Go with your gut reflex.

I dont mind your turn bet.

Sometimes firing this extra barrel will win the pot for you.

After your opponent calls your turn bet, I am not putting any more money into the pot though.

I will just check behind on the river or fold to a river bet.

looks pretty standard ... but don't "always" bet the turn

your options ...

bet/fold the turn
check turn - fold river
and way behind is
check turn - call river

don't get in your mind that you 'always' have to do the samething

nice hand. I play it just the same. You want to show this one down and take some notes.
