Default 3-6-12 LIVE, I flop Top 2, face aggression on the turn.

Table is loose/passive. Any aggression after the flop usually spells trouble. 7-9 see every flop.

Hero is on the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

6 limpers, I raise, blinds come along. 9 to the flop of

A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Check to the raiser, I bet out, a few callers including villian in MLP who calls, 5 see the turn

9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Check to Villian who now bets out, I raise, the rest fold, villian re-raises, I call. Head up for a river 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villian bets out 12, I call.

Villian did not have Q 10 but I still lose.

Any thoughts? Should I have not raised the turn? Would you play this one different or is it standard?

I think you played the hand well on each street.

I can't see a mistake.

Looks good. I would only call the 3bet on the turn (and not cap) if the villain were passive like you said. NH.

There are 12BB in the pot at the turn, so anyone with a GSSD still has odds to draw. I like the turn raise to try and get people, plus you have a good hand that can out draw (4 outs) a made straight. I don't want others to stick around getting 13:1 on the turn.

I think it was played correctly but we lose sometimes even when played right.

Peace,
Mygtar

u played it good. though you may have lost this hand, it is essential that you make that turn raise given the draws out there and the size of the pot.
