You want to be 3-betting with about half of his range .

For instance , a-8 is ahead of a-2 to a-7 and is trailing to a-9-a-k . So a-8 is about the half-way point where I prefer re-raising .

AK is so much stronger vs A8 than A8 is to A2. The deeper you are the more true this is.

I don't see any good reason to fold PF, that raise sounds like it means villain has two cards. You are ahead of his range here. My preferred line is call call call. Obv, you are getting this all in. You pretty much made that commitment. With that said, a c/r on the flop would solidify the hand, but it would still be inexcusable to fold to a shove, IMO.

I probably flat call too loose out of the sb, it really depends on how I feel about my opponent.

The problem with flat-calling A8 or worse oop is that you will either miss the flop entirely or flop worse than top pair and have to play the rest of the hand passively oop most likely. You are more likely to flop top pair or a good draw with hands like JT/109/QJ/KT (these are the kinds of hands that I like to flat call oop).

As I pointed out, it depends on the opponent. As a rule, I will usually call with this hand, but there are certainly opponents that this will get a good muck from. It appears that this opponent is running our hero over, so this hand will show good value, and our villain will probably fail to slow down with an ace showing.

It doesn't change the fact that you flop worse than top pair or miss the flop usually. There are better hands to flat-call with oop.

And this is your read you give in the OP:
